Alvernia University’s O’Pake Institute EmpowerED High School Internship Program
The O’Pake Institute’s High School Internship Program is a transformative experiential learning opportunity designed to empower and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, and change makers. This program aims to provide high school students with hands-on experiences, foster entrepreneurial thinking, and offer valuable support to local businesses in the community. Through a dynamic blend of real-world projects, mentorship, and collaboration with local businesses, participants will gain practical skills, develop a growth mindset, and make a positive impact on the local economy.
The EmpowerED Internship Opportunities:
Innovation Intern
Work on projects in prototype development, CAD, biomedical sciences and technology, computer science and AI, gaining hands-on STEAM and health sciences experience.
Marketing Intern
Gain hands-on experience in website development, logo design, content creation, branding, and social media marketing.
Finance Intern
Explore the financial field through budgeting, financial analysis, business planning, and venture investment principles.
Community and Economic Development Intern
Build skills in community outreach and engagement, non-profit development, event planning, and program support.
The EmpowerED High School Internship Program is available to qualified high school candidates, preferably Junior and Senior year students, and runs throughout the calendar year in Fall, Spring, and Summer cohorts.
